Listening Circles™

A deeper practice of listening and being heard.

Rooted in positive mirroring and compassionate, engaged listening, Listening Circles cultivate the conditions writers need to share their work, recognize what is already working, and grow from there.

For writers ready to bring their work into a Listening Circles season and be deeply heard.

Listening Circles bring six writers together for a four-month season of live sharing, compassionate listening, and meaningful connection. The group meets monthly for a 90-minute workshop.

Rooted in positive mirroring and focused, compassionate feedback, Listening Circles offer dedicated mentorship and more time with your work. You’ll learn to recognize what is already working, trust your voice, and listen for where the writing wants to go next — while offering that same quality of attention to others.

Membership includes full access to the Salon.

Open to writers familiar with Narrative Healing through the Salon, a course, workshop, or retreat.

What Listening Circles hold

  • No more than six writers

Enough voices to learn from, with space for every writer and every story to be known.

  • Live sharing

Read your work aloud and experience what happens when your words are received with compassionate, engaged attention.

  • Focused, compassionate feedback

Our signature approach to feedback begins with positive mirroring and supports both the writer and the work.

  • A four-month container

Time to build trust, sustain your practice, and stay connected to your work. Each season culminates in a celebratory open mic, with an invitation to share what has grown.
